What are GRIPZ?
GRIPZ are stickers that go on your keyboard or other electronic device.
What do GRIPZ do?
GRIPZ increase the tactile feedback of your device, making it more responsive and giving you better control.
What is tactile feedback?
When you play a video game, you get a ton of feedback. You get visual feedback from the game from your Screen. You get aural feedback from your speakers. You also get some hardware specific feedback - the "click" as you press a key on your keyboard.
The feedback you get that is associated with your sense of touch is Tactile feedback. This can be the shape or texture of your keys, or how they "bottom out" when you press down all the way. That little bump on the F and J keys. If your keyboard shook with a rumblepack. All Tactile Feedback.
Why does tactile feedback matter?
You rely on tactile feedback in games far more than you realize. If you are playing CS or Starcraft, knowing that you have hit the right key, and pressed it hard enough for the command to register - these are critical bits of feedback. While we can see things happening on the screen - our first feedback comes from the keys themselves. Think of a series of keys you often click in succession - you don't wait for the first one to show up on your screen before you hit the second one... you KNOW the first one went in, because you felt it, so you hit the second...
